“Diesel engines are durable and consume less than a gasoline engine, but they are also very inefficient - you only get to use approximately 50% of the energy of the diesel to actually do the work. Hydrogen acts to ignite the diesel faster and sooner during the combustion process, the end result being that you use more energy of the diesel, and there is less unburned diesel that comes out in terms of smoke, fumes, and emissions. Less diesel is thus used to do the same work, resulting in fuel savings.”
