Manoj Joseph Kallarackal Managing Director THEJO ENGINEERING
What is Thejo Engineering's specialization?
Thejo is a leader in engineering solutions for the mining and mineral processing industry headquartered in Chennai, India, with a global footprint spanning offices in Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Chile and the UAE.
Specializing in conveyor systems, Thejo's expertise extends to design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance. Its in-house facilities are equipped to design and manufacture a wide array of products in rubber, polyurethane, engineering plastics and metal.
While being a leader in India for conveyor and maintenance services, our operations in Australia and Saudi Arabia are more focused on sales and support. In Brazil and Chile, we focus on supply of products and handle installations. On top of that, we also offer corrosion protection solutions for both mining and chemical industries and manufacture special-purpose machinery for specific needs. Could you share some specific projects in which Thejo Engineering has been involved in Saudi Arabia?
We have been active in Saudi Arabia for close to two decades, initially working with companies like Aramco, SWCC and SABIC, focusing on corrosion protection applications. Within the mining sector, we have played a significant role in cement plants, phosphate plants, and gold operations, even before the formation of Ma'aden.
Since Ma'aden started up, we have been involved in their operations across Saudi Arabia, whether it is gold, copper, phosphate, or other plants. Our role has been diverse. We offer conveyor related maintenance services, supply rubber lining for equipment, and provide various products and spares for process equipment. While we have not taken on entire operation and maintenance contracts yet, we are looking to do that as we continue to grow and show the value we can bring to the industry.
We have offices at Damam and Jeddah, and a manufacturing service unit in Modon 3. We have plans to expand and establish more branches across other key locations in Saudi Arabia to be closer to the market and better serve our clients.

Doğan Özel Business Development Manager CDE GROUP
What is CDE Group specialization?
CDE Group was founded in Northern Ireland in 1992 to offer wet processing solutions, focusing on industries like mining, sand and aggregates, construction, and environmental sectors. Our goal is to provide solutions that helps our clients process raw materials more efficiently, diverting tons of waste from landfills and enabling production closer to where it is needed. What stage of the mining lifecycle do you work in?
We are involved in the latter stage of the mining lifecycle, especially when it comes to processing and improving mining materials. We help with the extraction of raw materials like iron ore, coal and phosphate, separating valuable ores from waste. Our wet processing technologies come into play at the beneficiation stage, where they improve product quality by removing impurities and increasing mineral grades. We also focus on waste management and tailings, using water-efficient methods to minimize environmental impact. One of our key innovations is the EvoWash, a patented fine sand classification system.
Sustainability is a big priority for us, and we have systems designed to recycle water, reduce waste, and save energy. When it comes to mine closure, we play a role in land reclamation, repurposing waste materials, and supporting the circular economy in mining and construction. How could your modular and scalable solutions benefit Saudi Arabia's mining industry?
Our solutions allow mines to start small and easily expand as production grows or resources change. This is a great fit for remote areas in Saudi Arabia, where building large, fixed plants might not be practical due to high costs or limited infrastructure. Our modular systems can be adjusted, expanded, or relocated as needed without requiring a complete redesign. Another big benefit is the lower upfront cost.
On top of that, our systems are designed for efficiency, helping to optimize water, energy, and raw material use, which leads to lower operational costs and more sustainable mining practices.
