COMPANY PROFILE

Summary

KCA constructed its first heap leach for a client in 1974, and currently works on over 100 projects each year. We like to begin working with geologists in the exploration stage, and then continue with the project through lab testing, engineering design, feasibility studies, and actual field construction management. About 70% of our business is outside the US, and we have offices in Mexico, Australia, and Guatemala.

Projects

Most recent field project: In 2022 we are currently finishing construction management of an US$11 Carbon desorption and strip plant for amine in Mexico. Most interesting project: KCA developed and successfully implemented a cyanide leach plant with hot lime pretreatment for a 4000-year-old mine in Turkey. The owner, Gumustas, has moved that project forward and has now developed a much larger orebody for which they are seeking international partners. Largest project: KCA was awarded an EPCM contract for a US$140 million project in Mexico where the company built a small heap leach and a 4,500 tonne/day agitated cyanide leach plant.
